miles and miles and miles of smiles (original painting)
36 X 48 acrylic and oil stick on canvas.
miles and miles and miles of smiles (5holes). my fifth painting this year in th holes series. th holes series is a revelatory glimpse of our own reality. perhaps it could be described as a dimensional iteration, or a look thru an alternate set of eyes. with th right calibration a vision as such might be captured at twilight, or seen for just a moment out of th corner of yer eye.
orifice, mouths, HOLES.
sucking, grasping, consuming.
teeth, and tears in th environmental stability. fractures in th fabric. th only symbols of sight are concentrations of frozen passives. hypno-disks float in th spheres. reality itself is in a constant state of consume.
I was half thru this work th week Hades died. it had to be put aside. it was difficult to come back to it and finish, in several different ways. and I wonder what different version would this have become, if it had been allowed to become, straight thru. these paintings in this “holes” series themselves are iterationally descriptive, they can allow for variants. so one seems just as good as another.
I miss my dog.
