oh! how embarrassing! (original painting)
36 X 48 acrylic, gold paint pen, and oil stick on canvas.
oh! how embarrassing! an overexcited devil has broken th circle.
this is my second painting this year that reimagines classical woodcut witchery.
one must not break th circle.
forget a tool? too bad.
candle burn out? too bad.
need to piss? too bad.
under no circumstances can you step outside that line without formally closing out yer session. and all actions within must be plotted and understood, they must be known and truly Willfull. when touching power yer acts must be PERFORMED without misstep or second thought. we ain’t triflin. this is not a space for improvisation, and for gods’s sake you must be able to trust everbody in th crew to hold fast.
in th heat of th moment you can feel th power rise, th energy builds and grows. th space gets tight and sometimes, uhh, “anxious”. like edging up to an orgasm. but you gotta stay clear, can’t get caught up in th moment. I may be a Stoner Witch but my work within th circle is performed church-sober. talkin about out here getting high offa strait RUNES, y’all. “I wonder now, how do we outlast, always keep cash, stay strong, if we all mashed; hold ya head.” RIP 2pac.
but you cain’t never trust no devil. just th kind to indulge, and abandon all th invested work at hand, just to run off with th chosen vessel before th ritual is completed. hold ya head.
